Card Not Authorised

If you see a warning on your TV screen that your viewing card is not authorised, your set top box may not be ready for its new viewing card.

Problem

You see a message like the one below on your TV screen after inserting your new viewing card.

For your information - This Sky viewing card is not authorised. Call your broadcaster for assitance

Solution

With your set top box switched on (not in standby or powered off):

  1. Remove your new viewing card and re-insert your old one.
  2. Leave your old card in place for 24 hours.
  3. After 24 hours, reinsert your new Sky viewing card. If you see the same message again, please contact your Pay TV provider.
